Vijay Hazare Trophy: Hyderabad defeat JK by 149 runs

Hyderabad after winning the toss chose to bat first.JK pacer Umer Nazir rattled their top order. He reduced them to 41 for the loss of three wickets

After having chased 297 run target on Sunday, J&K failed to chase 312 runs against Hyderabad on Monday as they were bundled out for 163 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad Monday.

Hyderabad after winning the toss chose to bat first.  JK pacer Umer Nazir rattled their top order. He reduced them to 41 for the loss of three wickets. However, K Rohit Rayudu joined by Sandeep Singh steadied the innings and took the score to 212. Sandeep got out after scoring 72. Rayudu at the other end continued to carry inning forward and before getting out he had set the base for big score. Rayudu got out after scoring 130 runs from 130 balls. Hyderabad got all out for 312 runs in the allotted 50 overs. For J&K, Umer took five wickets while as Rohit, Deepak and Abhisekh took one wicket each.

In reply J&K never got going as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. The opening duo of Ahmad Banday and Shubham Khajuria put on 42 run stand for the first wicket. After that no other stand was big enough to give momentum to the inning. J&K got all out for 163 runs in 34 overs.  Puneet Kumar with 43 was highest scorer for them while as Shubham Khajuria scored 35 and Ahmad Banday scored 26.

For Hyderabad, Akash Bandari took three wickets while as Ravi Kiran and Mohd Siraj took two wickets each.
