Ghazal maestro late Jagjit Singh, born Jagjit Singh Dhiman on February 8, 1941, gained acc;laim together with his wife and a ghazal singer Chitra Singh. The legendary singer was popular for his silken and soothing voice. With his popular tracks Chithi Na Koi, Hotho Se Chhu Lo Tum, Hoshwalon Ko Khabar Kya and many more, Jagjit successfully striked the chord of fans. Fans from all walks of life and from all age groups can easily find a deep emotional connect with Jagjit Singh’s soulful tracks. 

Known for presenting Ghazals in a different way, Jagjit transformed Ghazals into a contemporary form. His ghazals were mostly based on the poetic theme and were widely popular among all.

His ghazals were not just soothing and relaxing one, but was easily understandable for a layman too. The singing legend had sung songs for various moods depicting romance, loneliness, hatred, betrayal and love.
